Hi I have pcod and drilled . irregular periods my gyno proscribed a medicine for hmg75 iu for egg growth and my 14 th day of my egg was 18 mm and she is proscribed hcg5000 for egg ruptured when will my egg ruptured and when will I start my intercourses

Hi,

Timed intercourse is what is advised after inducing ovulation by means of hCG injections to improve the chances of fertilization.

You need to be monitored by means of an ultrasound scan to know when the follicle will rupture. Since the egg can survive up to 24 hours after being released, fertilization can occur if intercourse takes place on the day or two after ovulation.

Hence, after rupturing of the follicle, intercourse is advisable at least for 3 days. Kindly do the necessary follow-up following this as advised by your doctor.
